Nuke Baseball Catcher 7-Ball Crab Shuffle Drill

Lateral crab-shuffle conditioning combined with continuous receiving or blocking of seven balls, finishing with a short sprint recovery.

Coaching notes

Catchers stay in crab-shuffle posture while the coach throws or rolls balls that must be received or blocked; after the set they sprint 10 yards. Builds leg endurance and game-speed blocking under fatigue.

Objectives

Improve lateral mobility, blocking under fatigue, and recovery speed.

Coaching cues

Stay in crab shuffle the entire time; block then get up; receive and keep moving; finish with sprint; target low.

Common errors

Standing up between balls; poor recovery; losing target; quitting early.
