Coach or partner tosses to predetermined zones; hitter works on recognizing and driving the targeted location with intent.

Objectives

Improve pitch-location recognition, selective aggression, and ability to adjust the swing path to the zone.

Coaching cues

Hunt the location; stay balanced; drive the ball where it is; adjust path early.

Common errors

Swinging at everything; late recognition; forcing contact outside the zone.
